A 282-year-old cello and the recreation of a 100-year-old program will add up to an unprecedented concert night in Wolfeboro. Internationally acclaimed musicians Amit Peled, cello and Stefan Petrov, piano have collaborated to perform a 20-city US tour “Homage to Pablo Casals.” It is a recreation of the recital given at the famed Peabody Institute by revered cellist Pablo Casals on February 12, 1915...and Peled is playing it on the same ca. 1733 cello used by Casals. Wolfeboro is on the tour and listeners will be treated to a charming classical music program, “remarkable for its variety, esprit and its very patent inspiration.”
